Say “hello” to my li-tt-le fren. Brain storming on what to do with this gorgeous antique dresser. Found it by our dumpster at our apt building. Don’t know if I should make it two toned, or make it Shabby Chic… aaaaaah.
************* WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO? **************
I realized that this is more of a masculine looking dresser and I will be selling this when I’m done. It has the little nails all around each drawer (love them) as they add to the masculinity - so I’m thinking in terms for a male or neutral (not really girly.) It still had two crystal drawer pulls one on each of the small drawers up top (LOVE them) and only one wooden drawer pull and that was it. It has no mirror but it appears that one can be easily installed again.
I’ve already ripped off all the front wood on the two top drawers as the right one was irreparable. The body is still in tact with the original wheels (yaay)
Below are the options and ideas that are do-able for me to restore this beauty.
1. Making it a two toned dresser - (body one color drawers another.)
2. Keeping the body as is (maybe just putting a stain on it to darken any dings in it) and decoupage just the two top drawers with aged looking sheet music or news paper text.
3. Paint and distress it.
Those are the three (do-able) ideas so far that are bouncing back and forth in my li-tt-le head.
Ok talk to me - what do you think sounds the best?? :)
