Gutted an old medical book and made it into a jewelry box.
Simple to make and it’s functional.
Do you have a handful of old keys — from, say, apartments where you once lived, cars you no longer own, or some other use — sitting in a drawer?
Here’s something to consider making from them: A holder for usable keys or other small items.
Bend the old keys and attach them onto a piece of scrap wood. Basic DIY — find a brief tutorial on the Get Rich or DIY Tryin’ blog.

Another one of my “redo’s” taking a mirror and making it Shabby - what else!?
This was a thank you gift I made for some very dear friends of mine.
I embedded a photo of them on a candle (from the dollar store). It came out great!!! So happy with it, they liked it too.

NOTE; the person in the video said that she wouldn’t recommend using a photo that’s been printed on photo paper because the paper is too thick but it worked great when I did it. I just went back after a few times (of thinking I was done with it) and kept using the craft heating tool on it while gently pushing down all around the edges, especially the corners. I think I went back like 3 more times using A DIFFERENT SHEET OF WAX PAPER EACH TIME which is important. As far as the twine - well… I didn’t have any, so I pulled some strings from a burlap sack I had from a coffee shop and used them, I think I liked it even better.

I FINALLY finished it. =D I like how it turned out. I wish you could see this in person, it looks SO much better. I took like 8 to 10 photos and this was the best one and this pic still didn’t do it justice
The wood popping out from the base has been stained with my finger tips and actually looks so much more beautiful as it has more of a burnt caramel color to it.
OH and did I mention it’s SOLD WOOHOOO!!!
